Modern Slavery and Human Trafficking Policy and Statement

Company: Purainsight (“we”, “us”)

1) Our commitment

Purainsight is committed to preventing modern slavery and human trafficking in our business and in any supply chains connected to our operations. We take a zero-tolerance approach to modern slavery and expect the same standards from any organisation we work with.

This policy/statement follows the intent of section 54 of the Modern Slavery Act 2015 and UK Government guidance on transparency in supply chains.

Scope note (legal position): The legal duty to publish an annual modern slavery statement applies to certain commercial organisations that supply goods or services, carry on business in the UK, and meet the turnover threshold (commonly referenced as £36 million).

Purainsight is a small UK business; even where not legally required, we choose to publish this statement as good practice.

2) Our business and operating model

Purainsight is a UK-based AI and analytics company supporting healthcare and public sector organisations.

  • We are a small team of UK developers.
  • We do not outsource development work.
  • We do not use offshore delivery centres or labour providers for our core services.

3) Our supply chain

Our modern slavery risk is considered low due to our in-house UK delivery model. Our third-party relationships are typically limited to:

  • Cloud/software providers (hosting, productivity, security tooling)
  • Professional services (accountancy, legal, insurance)
  • IT equipment and hardware suppliers
  • Office services where applicable

4) Policies and controls

We maintain proportionate controls to reduce risk, including:

  • Lawful and fair recruitment and employment practices
  • Right-to-work checks where legally required
  • An expectation that any suppliers we use comply with applicable laws relating to modern slavery and human trafficking
  • The right to escalate concerns and, where appropriate, terminate supplier relationships for serious breaches

5) Due diligence and risk management

Although we do not outsource work, we still take sensible steps when selecting and managing suppliers. Where proportionate, we will:

  • Prefer reputable suppliers with published modern slavery/ethical sourcing commitments
  • Review suppliers’ modern slavery statements where applicable
  • Use contract terms requiring compliance with modern slavery laws and cooperation with any reasonable due diligence requests

We pay particular attention to supplier categories that can be higher-risk in the wider market (for example labour-intensive services or manufacturing-heavy supply chains).

6) Training and awareness

Given our size, our approach is practical:

  • Staff are expected to understand what modern slavery is, recognise red flags, and know how to raise concerns
  • Anyone involved in purchasing/supplier selection is expected to apply this policy when engaging suppliers

7) Reporting concerns

If you suspect modern slavery or human trafficking connected to Purainsight or any supplier we use, please report it to:

ms_26@purainsight.com

We will assess reports promptly and take appropriate action. Where warranted, this may include supplier engagement, contractual remedies, and reporting to relevant authorities.

8) Publication and review

We review this statement at least annually and update it where needed.

Where an organisation is legally in scope of section 54, UK guidance expects the statement to be published in a prominent place on the website (with a clear homepage link) and approved at senior level (with director-level sign-off).
